When I was growing up, I fit every government-funding category in Australia. I was a marginalized, depressed, dispossessed, poor, ethnic-minority, abused and adopted young girl. I was labeled a “victim” and then paid every week to stay that way. But when I read the Bible, it said that Jesus had redeemed my life from the pit and I didn’t have to live as any kind of victim.

Today, I live in hope and freedom because I have discovered a force on the planet that is much more powerful than the facts, and it’s called the truth of the Word of God. And I long for every boy, every girl, every man and every woman to know this hope and freedom for themselves. This was the very reason that in 2008, I founded A21, an anti-human-trafficking organization.
