Counterfeitنموونە

Can you remember the first time you went to church, heard about Jesus, or learned something about God that you’ve never forgotten? Whether you realized it at the time or not, God was using these outside influences to grow your faith. The cool thing is that it doesn’t really matter how you first learned about Jesus, or even who told you about Him; what matters is that God was in all those moments and using those people, so you could continue to grow closer in your relationship with God!
Take time this week to write a letter, or send a quick text message, to someone who has influenced your faith and thank them. Share with them how God used them to grow your faith into a more authentic faith.

We know that anything of value probably has a counterfeit version out there. The same is true for our faith. Maybe copying the behaviors of other believers was a great place to start your faith journey, but how can we move beyond copying Christians to following Jesus? How do we make our faith our own? The difference between a counterfeit faith and an authentic faith is growth and heart change.
