Bible in a Yearنموونە

Leviticus. Who knew there were so many ways to build an altar and burn some stuff on it. And why is this necessary anyway? I wondered this too when I first started reading the Bible, so here’s some more info that might help you make sense of it:
-In contrast to the geographical travel of the previous books of Genesis and Exodus, Leviticus takes place entirely at Mt. Sinai.
-The foremost theme of Leviticus is the holiness of God and the unworthiness of man.
-Leviticus contains 613 laws.
-Leviticus outlaws the consumption of flying insects unless they have jointed legs—like a locust. Good news for John the Baptist!
