The book of Matthew is the first of four Gospels, which are writings about the life and teachings of Jesus. Jesus had 12 disciples, of which Matthew was one. There are a lot of similarities between these four books, but since they’re all written from different perspectives, they offer different views of Jesus and his ministry.
