Let’s talk about the Bible. The Bible is an incredibly special book. It’s a book, unlike any other book you will ever come across. For ages, the Bible has been and still is a source of nourishment for believers that helps them grow. The Bible can also be a source of nourishment for you. During Lent, you are encouraged to read the scriptures of the day. Together, we are practicing reading the Bible.
How do you read the Bible during this Lent journey? Here are some practical tips.
Take your time, don’t rush through reading the daily scriptures. Read it slowly once, twice, even three times. Take note of what you find interesting or what captures your attention. Now, take some time to think about what captivated you.
Exercise:
Here are some guiding questions you can use: Slowly read today’s scripture Psalm 1:1-3. What do you feel? What happens inside of you as you read it? Is there something you are wondering about? What is God inviting you to through these words?

We live in a world filled with uncertainty, fear and anxiety. The beatitudes invite us to live in a new way in this world of ours. Together, we are going to explore new ways to live life.
