Hated For Christ
The ways of Christ are so different from the ways of the world. And when we follow Christ, it is very likely that the people of the world will oppose us and even hate us. This could be discouraging but the Word of God encourages us and calls us to rejoice when we face opposition because of following Jesus. The encouragement is that we have a reward in heaven and we are in good company as the prophets of old also faced similar opposition.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, let us have the right attitude if and when people oppose us and persecute us for being your followers. Let us, in fact, rejoice knowing that the prophets of old also faced similar persecution and because you will reward us in eternity. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
