Such Faith!
A Roman Centurion’s servant was unwell - on the point of death - and the Centurion sends word to Jesus asking him to heal the servant. Jesus gets ready to go to the Centurion’s home when the Centurion sends him a message saying that Jesus just needs to say the word and his servant will be healed and that there was no need for Jesus to trouble himself in going to the Centurion’s house. Jesus marvels at the Centurion’s faith. The servant is healed immediately. Like that Centurion, the challenge to us today is to trust Jesus implicitly - then we will see the powerful hand of God working in our lives.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for the faith of the Centurion, which is such an example to us. We ask that we too, like the Centurion, will be full of faith and confidence in you for all the circumstances of life we go through. And, Lord, we want to see you move and act powerfully in our lives. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
