Daniel - Standing Firmنموونە

As a young man Daniel had been captured and taken from his home and taken to the city of Babylon. The Babylonians didn’t serve God, instead they worshipped statues and idols. Daniel stood firm and kept obeying God and didn’t give up. Daniel listened for God’s voice, he was a prophet, which means he heard God’s voice and told others what God had to say to them. When king Nebuchadnezzar had a troubling dream no one could tell him what it meant. That night God spoke to Daniel in a vision and showed him what the meaning of the king’s dream was. The next day Daniel told the king that it was God who showed him.

Daniel kept listening for God’s voice and when king Nebuchadnezzar had another dream God told Daniel what it meant. Daniel gave the king God’s message, “Stop being sinful. Do what is right. Give up your evil practices. Show kindness to those who are being treated badly. Then perhaps things will continue to go well with you.” Over his life, Daniel interpreted other dreams and visions that all came to pass. Daniel heard from God and spoke His message to the people. These messages are all recorded in the Bible and Daniel’s words are still being used today to turn people towards God. We can follow Daniel’s example to hear from God in every area of our lives.
