Paul’s letters throughout the New Testament reflect his commitment to developing leaders in local churches. His ministry wasn’t about making a name for himself; it was about bringing the good news of Jesus Christ to people and establishing functioning local churches. Servant leaders focus on calling out and developing the gifts of others, not on drawing attention to themselves. They call others to follow in Jesus’ footsteps as servant leaders. You have heard me teach many things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Teach these great truths to trustworthy people who are able to pass them on to others. — 2 Timothy 2:2

Prayer: Father, open my eyes to those whom I can invest in today. I want my influence in their lives to point to You and to Jesus as their role model for life and leadership. Remove the things in me that would keep them from being drawn to You through my example. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
