Twenty Five Days of Christmas Devotionsنموونە

Jesus came to bear witness to the critical truth that we are all in desperate need of a Saviour. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus demonstrated how we all fall short of God’s glorious standards. He went on to show how we are defiled not by the things that we eat but by the things that come out of our heart.
No one needs to be taught to do wrong, it comes effortlessly with our sinful nature. Our hearts are deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. The truth is we cannot save ourselves because our corruption is deep-seated. None of our sacrifices or rituals can change our hearts. Thus, God sent His Son, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, as the perfect sacrifice to free us from our sins. When you are convicted of this truth in your heart, that truth will set you free.
