The disciples were able to see the evidence of what Jesus suffered for their sake. They got to hear Him say each of their names. And as a result, they were filled with joy. It was so powerful that it took the place of the fear that had previously dominated the room.
What would your reaction be if you were able to see Jesus? What would you want to ask Him? What would you hope He said to you? How you answer those questions tells you a lot about your view of Jesus. Would you be filled with joy like His disciples? That’s certainly the hope!
Today, take 10 minutes to answer these questions. As you do, think about what your response would be if He showed up in your room. Pray that you might be filled with joy in His presence.
