The Ark of the Lord had been returned to Israel; however, for 20 years, it stayed in the home of a man called Abinadab. It wasn’t until David became king that it was returned to where it belonged, Jerusalem.

King David assembled the best of the best from Israel’s army to recover the Ark of God. The men carried it carefully all the way to Jerusalem and set it in the middle of a special tent that David had pitched for it.

The return of the Ark to Jerusalem was a big occasion. David led the parade, dancing with great abandon before God. David’s family was a little embarrassed by his dancing, but David didn’t care. The only thing that mattered to him was God and giving Him glory.

We have victory in Jesus’ name! Just like David, we can celebrate and give God the glory when great things happen. Dance! Sing! Praise God when situations turn around.
