What does it mean to be loved by God?

To be loved by God means that he is with us, that he is for us, and that he has our best in mind. We are fearfully and wonderfully made and have been created by God in his perfect image. We are his children!

Being loved by God gives us confidence and peace! As we learned last week, love from people comes from an imperfect source (people)—so no matter how good the people we have in our lives are, they’re bound to let us down at some point. But God’s love is perfect—which means it never fails!

Maybe you’ve had moments in your life where you’ve wondered, “Am I worthy of being loved by God?” And the answer is, YES! No matter what, God loves you. When we mess up and when we fail, God still loves us. And God’s love is so good that it leads to change in our lives!

God loves you exactly the way you are, but he loves you too much to leave you the same! His love helps us change and grow!
