Pulling Us Back Together

He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love. Ephesians 1:4 NKJV

We might never be chosen first for anything in our lives—the team, the promotion, the partner, the position. Yet before creating the world in which we live, God chose you. He saw you through the lens of the love He sent to save us. You were first on His mind, which iswhy the story of redemption was written.

What an astounding truth it is to know the value God places on a life. Every person we know, everyone we pass on the street, every face we see walking through the grocery store. . .God deemed worth the sacrifice of His Son. That’s why it’s invaluable to live a life that reminds others they’re chosen, they’re priceless, and that God thought of them first—long before the world around them made them feel otherwise.

We have a thousand seemingly small and insignificant daily opportunities to express God’s love. Each one is vitally important. It can lift someone closer to the One who holds them in a place of infinite value. The darkness in this world strives to push us away from each other, but love has the power to pull us back together.

Let me be one who sees and seizes every chance to love someone, Lord. Show me ways to remind others they’re priceless to You.
