Day 2: God's Faithful Provision in Every Season

Scripture: Philippians 4:19
"And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

One of the greatest challenges in single motherhood is the constant need for provision. Whether it’s financial, emotional, or physical support, it can feel daunting to face these demands alone. However, Philippians 4:19 assures us that God is a faithful provider. He knows exactly what we need, and He promises to supply all our needs according to His glorious riches. When we trust in His provision, we can be confident that He will provide in ways we might not expect.

Consider the story of the widow of Zarephath in 1 Kings 17:8-16. In a time of famine, she and her son were preparing their last meal when the prophet Elijah arrived, asking for food. She was hesitant, knowing there wasn’t enough for her family, but Elijah encouraged her to trust in God. When she chose to trust, God miraculously provided for her and her son, ensuring that their oil and flour never ran out. Just as God provided for this widow, He is faithful to provide for you as you step out in faith.

God may not always provide in the ways we expect, but He is always faithful. Whether it’s through unexpected sources or through the strength He gives us to keep going, He will provide exactly what we need to raise our children. Trust in His abundant resources and lean on His promise that He will meet every need.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your faithful provision. I am so grateful that I can trust You to supply all my needs. Help me to have faith like the widow of Zarephath and trust that You will provide, even when it seems impossible. Give me the strength and wisdom to continue caring for my child with the resources You provide. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
