Day 7: Nothing Is Impossible With God

Have you ever found yourself trying to convince God of your goodness so that He’ll move on your behalf? I know I have. It’s human nature to do this, but it brings into question whether we really believe that He wants to move in our lives.

It’s amazing how we limit God to our present circumstances, and we walk away from the very Power that could change our future. Then, we just stop believing. We begin to impose limitations on God. But it’s not our goodness that motivates God to move. It’s not about what we bring to the table to show God why He should move. It’s about the Glory of God - His Goodness.

Did you know that when you surrendered your life to Jesus, you became born again and experienced the Glory of God? That’s what the onlookers of Lazarus’s resurrection experienced. When Jesus “cried with a loud voice, ‘Lazarus, come forth!’” (John 11:43, NKJV), He demonstrated His Ability and Willingness to do the possible in the impossible.

Believing that nothing is impossible with God establishes an attitude and corresponding actions. If you really believe nothing is impossible with God, you will adopt a righteous attitude and boldly step into what you know God has called you to do because the Holy Spirit will have confirmed your belief and given you internal evidence of God in your life.

Many times we allow experiences, opinions, and knowledge to convince us of what God can’t do. How do we overcome that? We develop faith that is based on God’s Word and come into agreement with it. We become capable of finding agreement when the Holy Spirit reveals God’s Truth to us.

Remember this—through Christ, all things are possible with God. Don’t fall into the trap of believing that only some things are possible. If anything seemed impossible, it was the day the Angel visited Jesus’s mother, Mary, to tell her that the “Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, the Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. . . . For with God, nothing will be impossible” (Luke 1:35-37). She then confessed, “Let it be according to your Word” (v. 38). Her belief was sealed at that moment. She believed what the Angel said and knew it would happen.

Here’s the thing about faith: you can’t be saved without it. You can’t live victoriously over the world without it, and you can’t please God without it (Hebrews 11:6). When we agree with God’s Word and it becomes our confession faith is built up within us and we begin to believe that just maybe with God all things are possible.

Don’t believe the lie that God can only do some things. He can do all things. Will He? We are not in control of that. But He can do all things. He is Supreme. He is Majestic. He is Powerful. He is Loving. He is Good.

I don’t know what is impossible for you today but I do know that God is for you. God loves you. God is Good. And when He speaks His Word to us and we come into agreement with His Word the impossible becomes possible.

Make this your declaration today: I believe All Things are Possible with God!
