Day 16: Made New in Christ

Devotion:
You’re not who you used to be—and that’s something to celebrate! When you’re in Christ, He doesn’t just clean up the old version of you; He makes you entirely new. The past, with all its guilt, shame, and regrets, is no longer your identity. You’ve been given a fresh start, a new name, and a purpose that reflects who God created you to be.

But here’s the thing: stepping into that new identity requires belief. It’s not just about knowing it in your head; it’s about embracing it in your heart and living it out daily. The enemy loves to remind you of your past, whispering lies that you’re not really changed, but God’s Word says otherwise. The old is gone, and the new has come.

Today, let go of anything holding you back from fully embracing who God says you are. Release the guilt, the shame, and the doubts. Walk in the freedom and confidence that come with being made new in Christ. You don’t have to carry the weight of who you were—God has given you a new story, and it’s time to live in its fullness.

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for making me new. Help me to believe in the new life You’ve given me and leave the old behind. Amen.

Journal Prompt:
What’s one old mindset or habit you need to let go of to fully live as the new person God created you to be?

Practical Application:
Write a declaration (e.g., “I am new in Christ”) and repeat it to yourself whenever doubt creeps in.
