ENCOUNTERING GOD THROUGH CREATION

There’s only one way to God—through Jesus. But in Jesus, there are countless ways to connect with Him. This April, we’re focusing on connecting with God through everything He has made — joining with all of creation in giving Him glory!

Encountering God through creation can be as simple as looking at a bug, mountain, or even a blade of grass and being drawn to worship Him. God displays His majesty, power, and magnificence through His creation. As you gaze at nature around you, be intentional about asking Him to show Himself and reveal His ways. When you witness a majestic sunset, feel the refreshing drizzle of rain, or observe the intricate, unique qualities of a plant or animal, you can’t help but feel the intentional, radical love of our Father, the Creator. He makes Himself and His nature plain to us through the world around us! Today, ask God to reveal Himself through an aspect of creation. “And they were calling to one another: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of His glory” (Isaiah 6:3).

PRAYER

Lord, thank You for your incredible and majestic creation. I ask that You come and speak to me through what you have made. I want to hear Your voice through the works of Your hand. Open my eyes to see You through Your Creation! In Jesus' name, amen.

APPLICATION

• Open a window and feel the refreshing breeze, or draw back the curtains and appreciate the beauty of the creation that the Lord has surrounded you with. What aspects of God do you see?
• Set your phone aside and go for a peaceful walk. Ask God to speak to You through what you see and sense in creation.
