Courageous Faith in the Unknown

Following Jesus often means stepping into the unknown. Peter walked on water toward Jesus but began to sink when he focused on the wind and waves. We all face moments where fear or uncertainty tempt us to retreat. But God calls us to keep our eyes on Him and trust His leading. Courageous faith doesn’t wait until every detail is clear; it steps out, trusting the One who calls. Maybe God is prompting you toward something new — a ministry opportunity, a conversation, a bold step. Don’t let fear keep you in the boat. His presence is your assurance. He invites you to experience what’s impossible on your own but possible when you trust Him. Courageous faith is also contagious — your bold step could inspire others to trust God more deeply. This doesn’t mean ignoring risks but recognizing that obedience to God is always the safest place to be. Take courage, for He is with you in every storm and every step.

Applications:

1. Write down one area where you’ve hesitated due to fear and ask God for the courage to step out this week.
2. Memorize 2 Corinthians 5:7 and speak it over yourself daily when doubts arise.
