Want an easy-to-remember way to read and study the Bible? No matter which passage of Scripture you're reading, ask yourself these three questions: "What?" "So What?" "Now What?" We'll show you how!

WHAT? What is this passage about?

  • What is this passage about?
  • This passage gives real-life examples of people whose lives were impacted by God's holiness. List or underline the names of these people and what God did for them.

SO WHAT? Why does it matter?

  • What reasons does this passage give for worshiping God?
  • Holiness is about something more than living by good morals perfectly. How would you describe it after reading this passage?

NOW WHAT? What should I do about it?

  • This passage shows that God supports the oppressed by being holy. When have you seen this holiness evident in a situation?
  • Is there anything you feel called to partner with God in pursuing justice and equity? What would it look like to call on God to partner with you in that?
  • In what part of your life can you worship God by looking for opportunities to be humble?
