Day 3 – Choices Speak Louder Than Words
Have you ever wondered what others would say about your faith just by watching how you work? The truth is, it’s in the moments when we could do what everyone else is doing—but choose not to—that we reflect God’s character most clearly. Especially in competitive, fast-paced, high-pressure environments like many of our workplaces, our faith becomes tangible—not because we talk about it, but because we make it visible through our choices.
Titus 2:7 (NIV) says, “In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness…” Paul is speaking to anyone who has influence—and that includes you. Whether you lead a team, manage a project, or interact with clients or colleagues, you are teaching something throughout your life—even when you say nothing at all.
Every intentional action becomes a living testimony of who we are and who we represent. When you choose not to join in on a toxic office conversation, when you stay grounded during a high-pressure situation, when you remain truthful even when dishonesty would benefit you—those are the moments when your life points to Jesus.
James puts it plainly: “Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” (James 2:17 NIV). Authentic faith is not just a declaration—it requires intentional action. It’s built in the choices that no one celebrates but that God never misses.
Intentionality, then, becomes a form of quiet yet powerful leadership. It means choosing to live with integrity even when no one is watching. And that’s how we build a spiritual reputation that is respected, credible, and impactful—even in spaces where the Gospel can’t be openly mentioned.
Reflective Questions:
- If someone were to observe the way you work, what would they learn about your relationship with God?
- Are there habits in your routine that need to be replaced with more intentional, Christ-reflecting choices?
Prayer:
Lord, I want my faith to be seen not just in what I say, but in how I live. Help me to be intentional in my everyday choices, even in the small things. Let my work, my responses, and my decisions be a faithful reflection of Your character. I want to be a quiet example of Your love and integrity—wherever You’ve placed me. Amen.
