Ways to Overcome Your Fears: Devotions for Girls (I Am Fearless)نموونە

Jesus faced times when He was fearful. Do you know how Jesus dealt with fear? He faced it head-on. After Jesus had fasted for 40 days in the desert, He was very hungry. So Satan tried taking advantage of Him by tempting Jesus to turn the rocks into bread to satisfy His hunger.
Jesus answered him in Matthew 4:4 (NIV), "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" Boom! Jesus showed who was in charge by using Scripture. Jesus reminded Satan that He depended on God and nothing else.
Everyone feels afraid sometimes. Jesus is a great example of how to face our fears and overcome.
Reflection:
When you face something you're afraid of, how can you follow Jesus' example?
Since Jesus could have changed the rocks into bread, why didn't He?
Prayer:
Lord, thank you that I am Fearless. Remind me of Your Word when I am in scary situations so I can calm down and find my confidence in You. In Jesus' name, amen.
Action:
Look through the Bible to find a verse that you can rely on when you feel afraid. Create a bookmark with the Scripture on it to be reminded that the strength of the Lord can outweigh any fear you have.
