Proverbs Chapter 23
Welcome back to the Daily Proverbs with Daniah! In today’s proverb, Daniah describes the poetic way God invites us to pursue His Wisdom, calling out to us as many times as possible. This poetic phrasing is mirrored in the Gospels and shows how Yeshua calls out for any who would pursue salvation.
Scripture References:
My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart also will be glad. Yes, my inmost being will rejoice when your lips speak what is right. Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be in the fear of ADONAI. For surely there is a future, and your hope will never be cut off. Listen, my son, and be wise, and guide your heart in the right way.
- Proverbs 23:15-19 TLV
Therefore Yeshua answered them, “Amen, amen I tell you, the Son cannot do anything by Himself. He can do only what He sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son does likewise. For the Father loves the Son and shows Him everything He does. He will show Him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed. For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whomever He wants. The Father does not judge anyone, but has handed over all judgment to the Sonso that all should honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.
“Amen, amen I tell you, whoever hears My word and trusts the One who sent Me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed over from death into life. Amen, amen I tell you, an hour is coming and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of Ben-Elohim. Those who hear will live! For just as the Father has life in Himself, so also He has granted the Son to have life in Himself. Also He has given the Son authority to judge, because He is the Son of Man.
- John 5:19-27 TLV
