Day 22 – A Source of Wisdom

God is wisdom. If you need wisdom, your Daddy is wisdom and has unlimited amounts of it to give you. James 1:5 (NIV) says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault.” A good father offers wise counsel. God’s wisdom is always available when you ask. Your Father’s wisdom brings clarity in life’s complexities.

Have you ever turned to your earthly father for wisdom in a situation that troubled you and he gave you the most amazing advice that fixed everything? Your heavenly Father wants to guide you with even greater wisdom because guess what, he already knows your tomorrow. His wisdom is the best compass to help you avoid costly, life altering mistakes and decisions. Acknowledge Him in all you do, and He will direct your steps (Proverbs 3:5-7).

If you’re facing a situation that is so tough and you don’t know what to do, ask the giver of wisdom. Ask your heavenly Father for wisdom, understanding and guidance. Proverbs 4:7 (NKJV) says, “Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom and in all your getting, get understanding.” Having wisdom gives you the ability to apply understanding and gain knowledge.

Ask God for wisdom in a decision you’re facing this week and wait for His direction.
