The Lord Is My Strength and My Song

“The Lord is my Strength and my Song, and He has become my Salvation; this is my God, and I will praise Him, my father’s God, and I will exalt Him.” — Exodus 15:2 AMPC

When we hear the word strong, we might first think of physical ability or mental grit. Strength can mean lifting heavy things or pushing through long days. Merriam-Webster defines it as the “capacity for exertion or endurance,” the “power to resist force,” or “solidity or toughness.” But in the Bible, strength means something more. It’s not just about physical power—it’s also about courage, character, and faith. It’s about having God-confidence rather than relying on self-confidence.

Whether you’re facing anxiety, exhaustion, or emotional pain, the Bible is full of hope. These Scriptures about strength aren’t just words on a page—they are living truth. They remind us that we don’t have to do life alone. God is near. God is able. And God is strong—even when we are not.

In this 30-day journey to strengthen our faith, we’ll discover what it means to be strong, where our strength comes from, what to do when we feel weak, and how there is even power in weakness. God’s Word reassures us again and again that His strength never runs out, and His presence never leaves us.

So when you feel weak, don’t give up. Lean into God’s promises. Let these Scriptures be your anchor and your reminder: you are stronger than you think, because the One who strengthens you is with you—always.

Reflection Question:
How can you remind yourself today that true strength is found not in yourself, but in God, who is your Strength and your Song?
