Addiction Rewritten: Addiction Takes, God Providesنموونە

When addiction diminishes control, God offers surrender.
Have you ever driven in winter and lost control on the ice? One moment, you have complete control of the vehicle, and the next, it has a mind of its own. Addiction has a way of making you feel like you’re no longer in the driver’s seat. You try to manage it, fight it, and get ahead of it, but it keeps slipping through your hands. The more you struggle for control, the more it seems to disappear.
Just like in the song “Jesus Take the Wheel” by Carrie Underwood, surrendering is always an option. When everything feels like it’s spinning out, you don’t have to hold it all together. You can hand it over to God, who won’t let you crash.
Prayer
God, I’m tired of trying to control what I can’t. Help me surrender my pain, worry, and fear to You so that I can live more freely. Amen.
