When addiction silences your hope, God hears your prayers.

When addiction takes hold, prayer can feel impossible. You might open your mouth to talk to God, but the words don’t come out. Shame, exhaustion, and fear can leave you silent. You might think, If I can’t even pray, will He still listen? Or, you might feel unworthy to approach God after the things you’ve done in your life.

Think about a newborn baby. They can’t form words. They don’t have the language to explain their hunger, their pain, or their fear. Yet a loving parent knows exactly what they need. Psalm 34 says the Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and Matthew 6 reminds us that He knows what you need before you ask. Even when addiction silences your prayers, your Father hears the cry of your heart. Take your many requests to the Father!
