All the Feels - Leading Our Emotionsنموونە

DAY 23: WORRY / ANXIETY
Worry is a thief. Anxiety keeps us from experiencing joy and peace.
Why do we feel like we need to know the plan, have all the answers and figure out whats coming next or else we fixate over the unknowns? I truly believe worry comes down to trust issues. Most of us have them at some point. The question we have to ask ourselves when we sense worry creeping in is this, Do I really trust God with my life?
I challenge you, the next time you're stressing or trying to control things and you notice yourself slipping into anxious tendencies; literally stop and say these truths out loud.
I don't have to figure this out. God is good and God is in control.
I am not alone. God is with me and His word says I am of great value to Him.
I will choose to remember who my God is. Worry cannot add to my life, it only takes from me.
Life is more important than most things I stress about. It will pass by God's grace.
There is nothing and no one greater, stronger or more powerful and loving than my God. If He is for me, who can be against me? Who can overcome His plans?
"Cast all your anxiety upon Him because He cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7, NIV)
Cast vs Carry. We say we don't want to cary our worries, but we are so conditioned to controlling everything. The Bible says we actually can cast them to Jesus who can and will carry them for us because He cares for us so much. He gives us a choice, will you lead your anxious thoughts to the Truth? Will you choose to cast them and trust in Jesus so you can experience peace?

Feelings. We all have them. Some of us speak them out loud while others silently shut down. As we walk through life experiencing the highs and lows of celebrating, grieving and everything in between—what happens to us and our relationships when we let what we feel drive what we do? How can we lead our feelings instead of being led by them? Let’s learn how to authentically navigate "all the feels" according to God’s Word without allowing our emotions to cloud our experiences. 30 Day-Devo by Nicole Wiencek with Ashley Clement.
