Romans: A 30 Day Visitنموونە

In this section, Paul speaks to his fellow Jewish born people. They had received special instruction from God, they had been offered a relationship with God, and they had the visible sign of circumcision. Yet, while they boasted of their special relationship to God, they chose continual disobedience. And they would sit in judgment of the non-Jewish people around them (the Bible calls all non-Jewish people' Gentiles').
What is Paul accusing them of in these verses? Why is he so angry?
What was Paul saying that they were doing instead of living like God’s own children?
How then does a person receive praise from God, according to Paul?

Paul's letter to the church in Rome is packed! He is helping this new church establish a vision for what it looks like to be citizens of God's Kingdom. There is doctrine to learn and live by, as well as wisdom for living life in ways that accurately reflect the King. As we take the trip together over the next month, we too see that what we believe, always influences how we live.
