30 Days of Endurance for Women Leadersنموونە

Welcome to 30 Days of Endurance for Women Leaders. This journey is designed with intentional prayer and strategic reflection to help you not only read Scripture, but live it. We are in a time where growing in biblical literacy is essential for followers of Jesus (yes, even the seasoned believer). My hope is that as you read, you will continue to grow deeper with God daily.
You will want to grab a journal to use as you read. Each day follows the structure below:
•Biblical Basis | We begin, anchored in a key Scripture, with its context explained.
•Devotional | We receive biblically grounded insight that stays close to the text, drawing strength for leadership.
•DEEP Reflection | We engage with the passage through four steps:
- Draw near to God | We approach the text in prayerful dependence.
- Examine the text | We pay attention to context, connections, and cross-references.
- Engage your heart | We consider how the truth confronts, comforts, or calls you.
- Practice the principle | We apply one concrete step to your leadership walk.
This rhythm will keep you rooted in Scripture, growing in wisdom, and walking boldly in Kingdom authority. Let's dive in.
Week 1 — Rooted to Last
Day 1: Rooted in Christ
Biblical Basis: Colossians 2:6–7 (ESV)
“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.”
The Apostle Paul, writing to the Colossian church, urges believers not only to receive Christ but to walk in Him. This walk is not passive. It is cultivated through deep spiritual rooting in Christ. It is a process that secures you in truth and prepares you to endure trial, error, and elevation.
The phrase “rooted and built up” identifies a layered growth process. To be rooted is to be grounded, to have your nourishment and stability come from Christ alone. To be built up (in Christ) is to grow from that grounding in a way that others can see. But the order matters: You cannot be built until you are first rooted.
This text is written within the context of Paul warning against false teaching (v. 8), shallow philosophies, and distractions that might appear spiritual but are empty of Christ. In other words, Paul is not concerned with outward expressions of religion — he’s calling for endurance in the truth.
Rooting requires effort. It means becoming a student of the Word, not just a consumer of content. It means letting your theology shape your emotional responses, decisions, and leadership.
The result of this foundational effort is a life overflowing with gratitude, grounded in truth, not driven by ego or a desire for recognition.
DEEP Reflection:
- D – Draw Near to God:
Set aside 10 minutes to pray: “Lord, show me where I’m rooted in convenience and culture, not Christ. I want to walk in You, not just talk about You.” - E – Examine the Text:
Read Colossians 2:1–10. How does Paul connect being rooted in Christ to resisting false teaching? - E – Engage Your Heart:
Where have you been tempted to substitute solid doctrine for spiritual activity? Are you built more on emotion, experience, or truth? - P – Practice the Principle:
Choose one daily practice to deepen your roots this week: e.g., consistent study of a full chapter, fasting from digital noise, or memorizing a verse from Colossians.
By the end of your day, reflect on the following question: What distractions try to compete with your sacred space with God, and how will you guard it this week?
See you on day two.
