How to Fight Your Battlesنموونە

The last two days we’ve studied a place of significant symbolism. The very place Jesus took His disciples to and spoke against the gates of hell was the same region believed to be where Satan tempted Jesus in today’s reading from Matthew 4.
The teachings of Jesus to His disciples weren’t just words—He had already lived them out.
When Jesus faced the enemy, He didn’t debate or panic—He fought with the Word of God. Jesus said, “For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.’” He was referring back to Scripture and speaking it out loud to fight spiritual warfare.
Jesus showed His disciples, right in the heart of a place once dedicated to darkness, that He alone holds the victory. His authority over death and hell is absolute.
Jesus was the Word made flesh, using the Word as His weapon. The only way to defeat lies is with truth. He has given that authority to us—not to live timidly, but to live boldly in truth.
God has given you your weapon to fight all your battles—it’s His Word!
Whatever darkness you’ve wandered into, whatever fleshly desires you struggle with—they are abolished because of Jesus. They are no longer your foundation. They will not overpower His power in your life.
But you have to fight in order to win. So pick up your weapon—the Word—and use it. Every single day.

Jesus doesn’t just tell us how to fight through the hard things in life—He shows us with His actions. Whether it’s taking His disciples to the edge of darkness or facing the enemy on the highest mountain, Jesus declares victory, and He gives us that same authority to fight our battles too!
