Guarding Your Heart in Relationships
God is serious about relationships. Choosing the wrong partner can bring long-term challenges, confusion, and spiritual compromise (2 Corinthians 6:14). Separation here means refusing alliances that pull you away from God’s purpose.
Just as Israel was warned not to make covenants with ungodly nations (Deuteronomy 7:3-4), we must carefully select who we allow into our hearts and lives. Physical attraction or cultural convenience is not enough. God wants relationships that honour Him and reflect His wisdom.
If you are single, pray for discernment. If married, ensure your union aligns with God’s principles. Guard your heart, and let your relationships glorify God.
Reflection Question
- Are your current relationships drawing you closer to God?
- How can you honour God in your future relationships?
