Day 11: Mary Takes Jesus to Lazarus

When Mary heard Jesus was here, she went out to see him. Mary was sobbing too.

When Jesus saw the tears rolling down her face, he felt sad and wept for Lazarus with her.

Do you think Jesus knew what would happen when he first received the message from Mary and Martha? Why did Jesus start crying now?

Jesus said to Mary, “Show me where Lazarus is buried.”

Mary took Jesus to Lazarus’s tomb. There was a huge stone blocking the entrance, so they pushed it away.

What do you think they saw inside? What do you think Jesus was going to do?
