True North: Brotherhood Is A Necessity Sample

SUPPORT
A walled city doesn’t have just one brick. Neither is a man supported by himself. It takes many people to create a walled city by supporting each other. Brotherhood offers that support.
We all have good days and bad days, and we often need the support of others in different ways. Sometimes we simply need moral support, other times it’s financial. Other times the support we need is more practical, like moving from one home to another, or landscaping a front yard. When you have a group of men that you’re intimately connected with, you will have all those types of support.
There is a catch though. The only way people within your group are going to be aware of your need for support is if you are open and honest about whom you are and what’s going on. Even the best engineer couldn’t support a structure if he didn’t know what was inside. Transparency builds trust within the group and allows other men to connect with each other in a deep way.
Who could you be there for today? What are some times that you have wished somebody was there for you? Could you do those types of things for somebody else?

About this Plan

God did not design us to be alone. Rather, He designed us to be in community with other believers. Brotherhood is the relationship between brothers, especially brothers in Christ. So much can be learned and gained from a strong community of believers. It’s not only a great option for a believer; it’s mandatory to survive in today’s society.
