WHY ARE HOME GROUPS IMPORTANT?

If you are anti-social we hope that you will be convinced that having relationships with other Christians is not just a suggestion but is necessary for us to follow Jesus. We need people in our lives that love us enough to correct us if we let sin creep in. We need people to encourage us to keep going when things get difficult and we need them to remind us that God is good all the time. Jesus was a great example of living His life in fellowship. As soon as He began his mission, He went out and sought His disciples. He spent, the majority of His time with them. He knew that He would one day suffer an excruciating death and He was reminded daily how much people needed a relationship with the Father and that there was no other way than for Him to die for our sins. 

Each day we are called to lay down our lives for Jesus, so that we can lead people to Him. We need to be reminded daily to love the people we are seeking after. Groups help us surround ourselves with people that come from all walks of life, and it is a reminder that everyone is perfectly unique, and God wants a relationship with all of them.
