Daniel: Spared From a Gaggle of Hungry Lions
If you think you’ve had a bad day, Daniel was thrown into a den of hungry lions. It is safe to say this was a worse day than many of us will ever have. Yet he was unharmed. Truly amazing!
Would we trust God if we were about to be pitched into a closed arena full of hungry lions? Many of us, myself included, would hesitate and have at least momentary doubts about our faith in Christ. And having temporary doubts isn’t all bad as long as we turn our attention and hope toward Him. He is the author and finisher of our faith.
If God rescued Daniel from lions, why can’t he rescue us from our momentary affliction?
The truth is that he can and will deliver us in His way and timing from anything no matter how great or small.
About this Plan
While we rejoice at many triumphs of leaders in the Bible, we scarce remember their frequent, often undeserved, trials. It is during these challenges of life, survived over decades usually, that God creates a foundation for their incredible leadership success. We will examine many heroic, overcoming stories and how God’s word encourages us during difficult circumstances. Leadership isn’t easy, but He will always be with us.
