IT'S TIME TO SERVE

Jesus is our perfect example of how we should live our life. In the few short years He spent on this earth, He faced every trial and temptation, and taught us how to handle everything that we will ever face, and He lived His life serving others. Jesus, the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, the Creator of the Universe, bowed His knee to wipe the feet of His disciples to be an example for us. If He could serve, then how could we ever think we are too good to serve others? God calls and commands us to serve others and to build His church. If we are part of a church, we are called to serve, because church isn’t a building we go to, WE are the church. When we serve we are becoming more like Jesus and we are making ourselves available for God to use us! It takes our attention and focus off ourselves which ultimately leads to our lives being filled with joy, peace and contentment; something we all are searching for. Serving keeps our hearts and minds in a state of humility before our God and allows Him to exalt us in His perfect timing. We serve people regardless of how they treat us, because we aren’t serving men, we are serving Jesus.

If you have not already, sign up to serve at Church this Sunday! If you are already serving, look for more ways you can give your time and talents to build God’s house.
