Many of us struggle to be open and honest with God. Maybe it’s because we think He won’t like our boldness. Or maybe we’re worried He’ll be mad at us for some reason.
But today’s verse reminds us that the opposite is actually true. David, who wrote this verse in the book of Psalms, was very direct in asking God for what he needed in life—and the Bible says that David was a man after God’s own heart! David got real with God in his prayers and knew that praying honest prayers didn’t make his faith weak or God mad.
What do you need from God right now? What do you need to share with Him in order to live today with freedom? Spend some time in prayer today, being bold in talking about and asking for what you need.
