The final chapter begins with a final admonition. This verse is one of the more famous verses of the short book we have journeyed through together.

To remember your Creator is more than just paying tribute to an antiquated notion of subservience. It is a recognition of our status in the universe. We can sometimes get the idea that the world and by extension, the universe, revolves around us. What we need is paramount. What we want is the priority for everyone. Remembering that we are a creation puts all that into a more proper perspective.

The admonition also serves to protect one against forgetting our passion for the Lord as we age. Life can take its toll on our relationship with our Creator. We are told to remember Him in our youth before the evil days have a chance to erode some of that passion. 

Since we are only as old as we feel, yeah right, then we can all remember our Creator today!
