The 5-Minute Bible Reading Plan And Devotional: ActsSample

Choosing to Obey God
After the disciples told others about Christ, the religious leaders ordered them to stop. Peter and John answered that God had commanded them to preach, and they had to obey Him. Besides, they were full of their subject and couldn’t stop speaking about it (Acts 4:18–19). You may not be a dominant personality who enjoys public speaking, but God has promised to fill your heart with His love by His Spirit. This love will then motivate you to be a witness for Christ, both by your words and your personal example (2 Timothy 1:7).
