Who Is Jesus For You? Sample

Jesus is abundant and meaningful life for you
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
John 10:10 is a window to the heart of Jesus, his heart for you. Jesus is saying to you: The whole reason I came was to give you life; real, full, eternal, abundant life. Life that is full, rich, and soul-satisfying. This is my heart for you. This is my desire for you. In fact, I died so that you may have life.
Satan will try to mislead you. Satan and his minions will try to deceive you into doubting Jesus’s heart for you. The deceiver will point to your problems and blame God, he will point to the world’s suffering and revile God, or he will point to difficult questions and accuse God.
But don’t listen. Satan is a liar and a deceiver. His intent is to harm you. He comes only to steal and kill and destroy. He comes to devour your soul and ruin your life. Resist him. Stand against him.
Cling to Jesus. You can trust Jesus because his heart for you is completely good. He wants you to have life abundantly—rich, full, and meaningful. He wants you to have as much joy and peace and purpose as you can hold. He is good, and he wants good for you all your days. “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
