Walking In Victory Sample
Chapter 10 of Joshua finishes with Israel defeating all the kings that went against the Gibeonites and conquering all their land. If you think about it, when these kings decided to fight against the Gibeonites, they were being used by God to accelerate the conquering of Canaan. Instead of defeating these cities one by one, Joshua would capture all these kings and conquer the land at once. And this happened because God fought for Israel. The Lord of hosts, Yahweh Sabaoth, was assuring their victory.
We face an enemy in a real and fierce battle. Your enemy wants nothing but your destruction. Our strength comes from the truth that God is greater than anything we face and He fights for us. The Lord is fighting on your behalf. He is protecting you, empowering you and helping you win the battle.
Jeremiah 1:19 tells us that we will have enemies to defeat, but those enemies won ́t prevail against us. We face enemies like discouragement, lack of resources, sickness, marital problems, work issues... you name your personal enemy. But God will deliver us from anything we are facing. Maybe He does it in a way we don ́t expect or in a time we find uncomfortable, but He ́s fighting right by our side.
God, I praise You because You fight for me and You deliver me from the enemies that try to tear me down. I thank You for always being by my side. In Jesus name. Amen.
