Walking In Victory Sample
I love how the book of Joshua starts, right to the heart of the matter! God gives Joshua a command – cross the Jordan and take possession of the land I ́ve already given you. God knew the task wasn ́t going to be easy, so He gives them some commands. The first one is that Joshua has to be strong and courageous. This command is based on the promises God makes him - I ́ll be with you, I will not forsake you.
The second command was not to turn from His law. Joshua was ordered to be very careful in doing things according to God ́s Word. It ́s like God telling him: “those thirty-eight extra years in the wilderness? Well, if you had only obeyed Me!!”. God doesn't want Joshua to make the same mistakes Moses did. And that ́s why He gives him the key to success: “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night”. If Joshua wanted to be a good leader, a good commander, a good servant, he had to be at God ́s Word every single day. God reminded him where his strength, his courage and wisdom came from: the Word of God.
It ́s in the Bible we see God ́s promises and find courage for our every day. It ́s in the Bible we find godly precepts to live a life that pleases the Lord and brings joy, peace and contentment to our hearts. Why do we think that we can live well without spending time in God ́s Word every day? Sadly, most of us do. We may commit for some days or weeks and then, our daily schedule takes over, leaving us unable to squeeze time to read and meditate upon God ́s truth. As we start our study on the book of Joshua today, I encourage you to commit to the whole study. You may find it difficult if you ́re not used to reading the Bible every day, but the same God who told Joshua that He would make his way prosperous by being in His Word, promises you the same thing. Be strong and courageous, dear friend!
Oh, Father, I want to be strong and courageous to face every situation in my life. Please, help me be in Your Word every day. Help me be consistent in reading and hiding Your Word in my heart. In Jesus name. Amen.

About this Plan
The book of Joshua teaches us to remember the promises God has given us and to trust God in everything He gives us to do. The same God who was with Joshua and the Israelites is with us today. He has given us the same promises and He wants us to claim the inheritance He has already given us. We pray this study helps you start walking in victory!
