Walking In Victory Sample

God made with Israel a covenant that He has not made with any other people. Circumcision was the sign of that special covenant, as we can see in Genesis 17:9-10. Circumcision was the mark that they belonged to God, that they were special and chosen.
During the 38 years in the wilderness, the Jews had not circumcised. Every man circumcised except for Joshua and Caleb, had died and all their children, the new generation, had not gone through the ritual. That ́s why God renewed His covenant with this new generation by ordaining them to be circumcised. Can you see what this meant for the Israelite men? This gave their enemies an opportunity to attack them while they were recovering from the circumcision. This would prove, once again, that it was God giving them the land and the victory.
We don ́t like to feel weak. We like to be in control of everything. But the truth is that it is in our weakness that God can do His work. Our weaknesses make us stronger because they give God space to take over our lives.
Oh, Lord, I have to admit I don ́t like to feel weak. But I ask You to use my weakness and vulnerability for Your glory. Help me remember it ́s in You I can find my strength. In Jesus name. Amen.
About this Plan

The book of Joshua teaches us to remember the promises God has given us and to trust God in everything He gives us to do. The same God who was with Joshua and the Israelites is with us today. He has given us the same promises and He wants us to claim the inheritance He has already given us. We pray this study helps you start walking in victory!
