Creating A Legacy!  As much as I understand the heart behind the song “Only Jesus” by Casting Crowns, the truth is that we will leave a legacy. It can be one that points to the greatness of ourselves or the greatness of Jesus, that’s where our choice lies.

When you leave your campus, will you have left a mark? Many get involved with student government to make a difference. Some get involved so that their names will be on a wall of fame for others to see years from now. Many Christians get involved in campus ministries for the same reasons.

The greatest legacy you can leave is to have others continue to make much of Jesus on your campus like you did while you were there. They may not remember your name, but that’s not important, is it? If they are challenged to love Jesus more and love others in His name, your influence will continue to be felt for eternity.

Paul said to follow him as he followed Jesus. That should be our desire as well. To have those we influence follow Jesus as we are following Jesus too!
