The Domino EffectSample

Paul and Barnabas ran into a man who had been crippled since childbirth. I imagine this man was soaking in every word Paul was saying about Jesus. This man was looking into the eyes of Paul, possibly believing for the first time the claims about Jesus and his love for all people. And then Paul’s eyes lock onto the lame man. Awkward seconds passed and then the next words out of Paul’s mouth were, “Stand up on your feet!” What?!?! Is this real? The man stands up. He actually jumps up and begins to walk as Paul closes out the message.
Can you imagine the scene? The lame man jumping, skipping, running. The crowd looking, jaws dropping, trying to figure out what just happened. Have you ever stopped what you were doing, put your tasks on the shelf to care for the people around you? Do you miss opportunities all the time, because you have already planned out your whole day, week or month? Every day, people are placed in your path. Are you willing to stop, look them in the eyes, and allow Jesus to do something spectacular through you?
