PRAY FOR THE NON-BELIEVERS IN HOLLYWOOD

PRAY:  Dear Christ, I come to You today to get Your vision for praying for the people in Hollywood who don't know You and for those who don't care to know You. I know that You don't want them to suffer wrath, but rather to receive salvation through You. I know that You died for them, as well as for me, so those who choose You, may all live together with You for eternity. Help me to build up the people who influence me and my children with the entertainment they create by praying for them to experience You. And let me do it because, in fact, that is what You are doing for me. I need You to change my mindset, my understanding, and my insight to see and know the people in Hollywood with Your eyes and Your heart and to learn how I can have a loving, supportive, compassionate understanding of them.

REFLECT:  Oh what a struggle it is for human beings to separate our emotions, our hurts, and our limited understanding, with the truth of the gospel. God tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:9-11 that He does not appoint wrath on anyone, but salvation. He died for every single one of us because He wants us to have eternal life. So, why should we look at people any differently than that? When we feel wrath or anger or judgement toward anyone, it is not of God. Our carnal heart is reacting to situations, conversations, and news that we don't fully understand. There is no reason for any human being to feel wrath toward another, even if they do horrible things to us or the people close to us. We have to pray for them to be healed, to be saved, to be transformed by our loving God. Then the Holy Spirit will take care of the rest. Forgiveness is much more powerful than hate or revenge. So, how can you replace any hate, anger, frustration, or judgement with compassion, patience, and prayer? Christ died for each and every one of us so that we can live in harmony. What is your part in spreading the word that the people in Hollywood are just as worthy of experiencing this as we are? We should always pray for salvation instead of wrath for everyone.

ACT:  Commit a few minutes now for just one person. Choose a celebrity in Hollywood whom you know is not a Christian. Write his or her name on a piece of paper and as you stare at that name, ask the Lord to break your heart for that person. Pray for blessings, pray for them to experience God's hope, joy, peace, comfort, kindness, and salvation directly from God and that they would know it's from Him. Ask God to take away their suffering and to allow them to live in community with believers who can be Christ-like to them. Ask the Lord to allow you to love them from afar, with the pure love of Jesus. Keep staring at that name and praying until you feel breakthrough. Wow, now that's a prayer!
