PRAY:  Lord, thank You for the reminder that when people turn from You, You want me to stand firm. Help me to buckle the belt of truth around my waist and to stand in a place of righteousness, regardless of what the people around me, or society, thinks. Even if everyone around me turns their ears away from truth, help me to keep my head in all situations, to endure hardship, and to stand in truth. With You, Lord, all things are possible! Amen

REFLECT:  We are bombarded with messages every day that don't line up with God's word. In America most of it comes from Washington DC or Hollywood. We are told untruths in the news, in advertising, in public speeches, as well as in films, TV shows, and music. However, we can't throw the baby out with the bath water. We also have great examples of God's truth in some leaders, in characters on television, and in films. We are reminded of truth by people around us who love God and stand for His principals of love and grace. Do you have anger toward any of our public leaders and celebrities, or do you ask for discernment and pray for the people who lead our nation? The enemy uses all people, even Christians, to carry out his wicked schemes, and the Lord uses all people, even non-Christians, to bring messages of hope, joy, love, and salvation to the world. What do you need to do to discern God's truth every day of your life, from every source of information coming at you? 

ACT:   Today is the day to start asking for wisdom from God, so that you can discern His truth in all circumstances. Don't get angry at, hate, or ignore the people in Hollywood with whom you don't agree. Don't hate or talk against politicians whom you believe are lying to you. But pray for the Lord to give you wisdom and discernment in order to understand, not only what the truth is, but how to respond with grace, love, and prayer. Commit to start every day asking the Lord for wisdom. If you want to know the truth and have the truth set you free, then every morning you have to put on the armor of God, which includes the belt of truth. If people around you are not following God's ways then stand firm, keep your head in all situations, even endure hardship, in order to speak God's truth in love, and pray for our leaders and celebrities who have not yet found God's truths in their lives. Today, you can start making an eternal difference by committing to the truth and asking for wisdom to hear Him clearly. He will answer!
