Promise Of Peace.
I love how black and white this verse is. It makes it sound easy, doesn’t it? Don’t worry, just pray! Our response could be something along the lines of “… But you don’t get how stressed I am!”. That's why in verse 7 we are promised a peace that ‘exceeds’ our understanding. It is also described as ‘God’s Peace’ - not momentary relief - but long-lasting, heart-filling hope. A peace that stands guard, over your heart and your mind.
Prayer: Lord, today I am gathering all the things I am worried about, and instead of dwelling on them, I bring them to you. Thank you for all that you have done in my life, and I receive the peace that you have promised me. Amen.
