Reflect

On the evening of the day of Jesus’s resurrection, the disciples were locked behind closed doors and were filled with fear. Jesus found them and offered peace to them. He showed them the scars of his hands and side. He offered them peace a second time. It was from that foundation of peace and certainty that he was alive that they would be commissioned to leave their “secure” place and venture out into “hostile” territory with the good news of the resurrection. 

Engage

Read today’s Scripture passage. Say or write it out in your own words, considering the following questions:

· What does it say about God?

· What does it say about us?

· Is there a promise to trust?

· Is there a command to obey?

· How will I apply this Scripture to my life?

· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
